RunIt

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. Introduction

RunXIt ("we", "us", "our") is a technology marketplace that connects users who need errands completed with individuals willing to complete them. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.

Profile information: Your display name, city, bio, transport type, vehicle details, and other information you choose to provide.

Runner application data: If you apply to become a runner, we collect your legal name, date of birth, phone number, address, vehicle information, government-issued ID photos, and optional selfie for identity verification.

Photos and evidence: Completion evidence photos (delivery confirmations, receipts, check-in photos) uploaded by runners, and profile photos uploaded by users.

Communications: Messages exchanged between requesters and runners through the in-app chat, and reports submitted through the Safety Center.

Payment and payout data: Stripe Customer IDs and Stripe Connect account IDs, onboarding status, and payout eligibility. We do not store your full card numbers — Stripe handles all card data securely.

Emergency contact information: Name and phone number of your designated emergency contact, if you choose to provide one.

Safety data: Reports submitted through the Safety Center, including reported user information, reasons, and descriptions, as well as your blocked users list.

Location information: Verified pickup and dropoff locations for errands, and your general city location.

Business errand data: For business errands including Light Retail Maintenance, RunXIt may collect business names, addresses, access instructions, work-area photos, selected task details, and completion photos. This information is used to facilitate the errand, verify completion, and maintain records for support, disputes, fraud prevention, compliance, and audit purposes.

Payment information: Payment method details processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card numbers.

Usage data: Information about how you use the platform, including errands posted, accepted, and completed, messages, and device information.

Legal acceptance records: Your acceptance of our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Runner Agreement, including timestamps and IP addresses for audit and compliance purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Connect requesters with runners for errands.
  • Process payments and payouts.
  • Verify user identity and maintain platform safety.
  • Send notifications about your errands, messages, and account.
  • Investigate fraud, disputes, and violations of our Terms.
  • Comply with legal obligations and law enforcement requests.
  • Improve and develop our platform and services.

4. Information Sharing

We share limited information between users to facilitate errands. Requesters can see a runner's display name, rating, and completed task count. Runners can see errand details, pickup and dropoff locations, and delivery instructions. Vehicle information is only shared with the assigned requester after a task is accepted.

We may share your information with:

  • Payment processors (Stripe) to handle payments and payouts.
  • Service providers who help us operate the platform.
  • Law enforcement when required by law or to protect safety.
  • Professional advisors in connection with legal proceedings.

We never sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Business Errand Privacy

For business errands, including Light Retail Maintenance, sensitive business/location/access details are shared only as needed to complete the errand.

  • Runners may see full business address and access details only after accepting and while actively completing the errand.
  • Before acceptance, runners see only general area or neighborhood-level information.
  • After completion, sensitive address and access details may be hidden or limited in runner-facing history.
  • Requesters, admins, and support staff may retain access to full details for records, support, disputes, fraud prevention, compliance, and audit purposes.

Runners should not retain, screenshot, or misuse business addresses, entry instructions, access codes, or contact details after an errand is completed.

6. Business Delivery Address Privacy

For Business Orders with RunXIt Delivery, RunXIt collects customer delivery addresses to facilitate local delivery. The following privacy terms apply to delivery addresses:

  • Customer delivery addresses are collected for business delivery orders and are used only to complete the delivery.
  • The delivery address may be shared with the assigned runner only after the runner accepts the delivery errand and only for the purpose of completing the delivery.
  • Before runner acceptance, runners see only general area or neighborhood-level information — not the full delivery address.
  • After the delivery is completed, the customer delivery address may be hidden from the runner's view.
  • Admin and support staff may retain access to delivery addresses for support, fraud prevention, disputes, safety, compliance, and audit purposes.
  • Runners may not retain, misuse, screenshot, or share customer delivery addresses after a delivery is completed.

Business owners may see the customer delivery address and contact information for orders placed through their Business Page for the purpose of fulfilling those orders. Business owners must not misuse, retain, or share customer delivery information beyond what is necessary to complete the order.

7. Preferred Runner Data

Businesses with Business+ or Founding Local Partner status may designate runners as Preferred Runners based on prior completed work. The following privacy terms apply to Preferred Runner data and the Preferred Runner First Chance feature:

  • Businesses may designate runners as Preferred Runners based on prior completed work through the RunXIt platform.
  • Preferred Runner status is used solely to determine temporary offer priority for eligible business jobs — it does not create employment, scheduling, or exclusivity.
  • Preferred runners receive limited pre-acceptance job information, including reward amount, general pickup and dropoff area, estimated time, and a safe description.
  • Exact addresses, customer identities, phone numbers, gate codes, unit numbers, and other private information remain hidden until a runner accepts an eligible job.
  • Location and personal information continue to follow existing privacy rules after job completion, including hiding customer delivery addresses from runner-facing history.
  • RunXIt may maintain job offer history and offer distribution metadata (including preferred first-chance status, window expiry, fallback events, and decline records) for security, fraud prevention, operational analytics, and dispute resolution.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Transaction records, legal acceptance records, audit logs, Stripe Customer IDs, Stripe Connect account IDs, refund records, payout records, and errand financial history are retained permanently for compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and tax/accounting purposes, even after account deletion or deactivation.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal information (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Opt out of certain marketing communications.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@runxit.com.

Account Deletion: You can deactivate your account from your Profile page by tapping "Deactivate My Account" (see our account deletion page for full details). If your account has no active errands, escrow, pending refunds, pending payouts, or unresolved disputes, your profile will be deactivated and your personal information (display name, bio, profile photo, vehicle details, emergency contact) will be anonymized. Transaction records, legal acceptance records, audit logs, Stripe IDs, and errand financial history are retained permanently for compliance, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and tax/accounting purposes. If your account has active financial or errand activity, self-service deactivation is blocked and you must contact support@runxit.com to close your account.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information using encryption, access controls, and secure payment processing. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

RunXIt is not available to anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When material changes are made, the version number will be incremented and users will be required to accept the updated policy upon their next login or before taking relevant actions on the platform.

13. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at privacy@runxit.com.
