Runner Agreement

Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. Independent Contractor Relationship

This Runner Agreement governs your use of the RunXIt platform as a runner. By accepting errands through RunXIt, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or representative of RunXIt.
  • RunXIt is a technology marketplace, not a transportation or delivery company.
  • RunXIt does not employ runners and does not supervise how errands are completed.
  • You determine whether to accept errands.
  • You determine how errands are performed.
  • You determine what equipment is used.
  • You operate as an independent contractor at all times while using RunXIt.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use RunXIt as a runner. By accepting this agreement, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

3. Your Responsibilities

As an independent contractor, you are solely responsible for:

  • Your own taxes, including all income, self-employment, and other applicable taxes.
  • Your own licenses and permits required to perform errands.
  • Your own insurance, including health, liability, and vehicle insurance where applicable.
  • Your own equipment and tools used to perform errands.
  • Your own transportation to, from, and during errands.

RunXIt does not provide, reimburse, or contribute to any taxes, licenses, insurance, equipment, or transportation costs.

4. RunXIt Fees and Runner Earnings

Runner Expected Earnings: You see the posted amount you are expected to earn before accepting. For tasks created under the current pricing model, runners are expected to receive the full posted runner offer, subject to platform payout rules. RunXIt service fees are charged separately to the requester on top of the runner offer — they are not deducted from your earnings.

Adjustments and Exceptions: Final payout may be affected by refunds, cancellations, disputes, reversals, chargebacks, fraud review, account restrictions, or other adjustments allowed by RunXIt policies.

No Wage Relationship: Suggested or recommended offers are not wages. Pricing guidance is not hourly pay. Pricing guidance does not create employee status. Runners remain independent users of the marketplace. Runners may mark a task complete when the requested work is finished. You should review the posted offer and task details before accepting any errand. No paid runner task may be requested for less than $10.

Founding Runner status is a trust and recruiting badge. Under the current pricing model, Founding Runner status does not change your runner payout — all runners receive the full posted offer. RunXIt may update this policy for future transactions.

RunXIt may update fees for future transactions, except where a specific promotional or Founding Runner rate is expressly promised in writing. Fee changes do not retroactively alter completed transactions unless required by law or needed to correct an obvious billing/accounting error.

5. Runner Payouts

Runner payouts are processed after requester approval and Stripe settlement. A completed errand may be approved before the funds are available for transfer. In that case, the payout may show as pending until Stripe makes the funds available. RunXIt tracks runner earnings by errand, but Stripe Express may combine multiple transfers or payouts into a single bank deposit depending on the runner's payout schedule. RunXIt does not guarantee instant payouts.

Payout timing may be affected by Stripe, banks, card networks, compliance reviews, account restrictions, or payout schedules. A completed and approved errand may show as payout pending until funds become available. You must maintain an active, valid Stripe Express account to receive payouts.

Runner payouts are handled through Stripe Express where available. After requester approval, eligible runner earnings may be sent to your Stripe Express account. RunXIt does not guarantee instant availability in your bank account. Bank payout timing is managed by Stripe, payout method, eligibility, and your financial institution.

You must complete required Stripe onboarding and verification to receive payouts. If you have not completed Stripe Express setup is not complete, or if a payout cannot be completed automatically, your earning may be marked as a Pending Runner Payout.

Pending Runner Payouts are completed runner earnings awaiting Stripe Express setup, Stripe platform balance settlement, or additional verification. Pending Runner Payouts are not the same as an immediately available in-app wallet balance.

RunXIt may display Total Earned, Earnings History, Pending Runner Payouts, and Paid/Sent to Stripe Express for transparency. These records are accounting/history records and do not necessarily mean funds are instantly available in your bank account.

Payment processing, payout, instant payout, transfer, or related fees may vary based on payment method, payout method, region, processor rules, eligibility, and other factors.

6. Vehicle Requirements

If you operate a motor vehicle while performing errands on RunXIt, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • You possess a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle you operate.
  • You maintain legally required motor vehicle insurance.
  • You agree to keep your driver's license active and valid at all times while using RunXIt.
  • You agree to keep your insurance active and current at all times while using RunXIt.
  • You agree to immediately stop accepting vehicle-related errands if your insurance expires, is suspended, revoked, canceled, or otherwise becomes invalid.

7. Insurance Protection & Acknowledgements

For all vehicle-related errands, you acknowledge that:

  • Maintaining insurance is solely your responsibility.
  • Maintaining a driver's license is solely your responsibility.
  • Insurance must remain active while using RunXIt.
  • Proof of insurance may be requested by RunXIt at any time.
  • Failure to maintain valid insurance may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

RunXIt does not provide, supplement, or guarantee any insurance coverage for runners. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have adequate insurance coverage for all activities you perform while using the platform.

8. Platform Status Disclosures

RunXIt is a technology marketplace that facilitates connections between users. RunXIt:

  • Is not a transportation company.
  • Is not a delivery company.
  • Does not employ runners.
  • Does not supervise how errands are completed.
  • Does not direct or control the manner in which errands are performed.

RunXIt is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or conduct of runners or requesters. You assume all risk and responsibility for your activities while using the platform.

I understand I am an independent contractor and not an employee of RunXIt
I am responsible for my own taxes
I am responsible for my own licenses
I am responsible for my own insurance
I am responsible for my own equipment
I am responsible for my own transportation
If I operate a motor vehicle, I possess a valid driver's license
If I operate a motor vehicle, I maintain legally required insurance
I agree to keep my driver's license active and valid
I agree to keep my insurance active and current at all times while using RunXIt
I agree to immediately stop accepting vehicle-related errands if my insurance expires, is suspended, revoked, canceled, or otherwise becomes invalid

I understand failure to maintain valid insurance may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal

10. Completion Approval & Auto-Approval

After you submit completion evidence for an errand, the requester has 24 hours to review and either approve or dispute the completion. If the requester does not respond within this review window, RunXIt may, according to platform policy, approve the completion on your behalf and release payment. This protects runners from indefinite payment delays due to requester inaction.

  • Approval may occur after the 24h requester review window expires.
  • Approval does not apply if there is an active dispute, admin hold, or safety concern.
  • RunXIt may provide reminders or notices regarding pending completion review where supported.
  • Approval triggers the same payment release as manual requester approval.
  • RunXIt reserves the right to manually review any errand.

This process is an administrative convenience and does not guarantee payment in cases of fraud, policy violations, or other exceptional circumstances requiring manual review.

11. Wait In Line Errands

If you accept Wait In Line errands, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms in addition to the rest of this Runner Agreement:

  • Wait In Line errands pay you for your time and presence in line, not for any item, ticket, merchandise, shoes, food, reservation, or other benefit.
  • You are not required or expected to purchase anything on behalf of the requester.
  • You should not front money, accept off-platform reimbursement, or make off-platform payment arrangements.
  • You should follow all venue, organizer, merchant, and security rules at all times.
  • Venue, organizer, merchant, and security rules always override any instructions provided by the requester through RunXIt.
  • You should provide reasonable progress updates through the RunXIt app, including timestamped check-ins and line-position updates.
  • You should notify the requester when you believe they should begin heading to the venue.
  • Approximately 30 minutes' advance notice is recommended when feasible, but actual timing may vary based on line conditions and is not guaranteed.
  • You may submit completion proof if you reasonably perform the waiting service, provide required progress updates, and reach the front of the line after giving reasonable notice to the requester.
  • Final payment remains subject to RunXIt's existing completion, review, approval, and dispute procedures.
  • RunXIt does not guarantee that any venue will permit line switching, place-holding, or entry.
  • If venue personnel prohibit line switching, place holding, entry, or any related activity, you must comply with those instructions. Compliance with venue rules will not, by itself, constitute failure to complete the waiting service.

RunXIt does not operate as a resale, ticketing, proxy-purchasing, or item-guarantee service. Any purchase made by you after reaching the front of the line is made solely in your personal capacity and is outside the scope of the RunXIt platform.

12. Light Retail Maintenance Errands

If you accept Light Retail Maintenance errands, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms in addition to the rest of this Runner Agreement:

  • Light Retail Maintenance tasks are one-time, non-specialized cleaning and organizing tasks only.
  • You may accept Light Retail Maintenance errands only if you can safely complete the listed tasks.
  • You are not required to perform unsafe, licensed, hazardous, heavy, ladder-based, electrical, plumbing, repair, or regulated work.
  • You should submit required completion photos and may include an optional completion note.
  • You should not retain or misuse business addresses, entry instructions, access codes, or contact details after task completion.
  • You may decline or report any task you believe is unsafe or out of scope without penalty.

RunXIt does not provide licensed trades, janitorial contracts, hazardous-material work, electrical/plumbing repairs, or regulated maintenance services through Light Retail Maintenance.

13. RunXIt Business Delivery Jobs

You may receive business delivery jobs through RunXIt. These are errands where you pick up an order from a RunXIt Business and deliver it to a customer's address. The following terms apply in addition to the rest of this Runner Agreement:

  • Business delivery jobs are marketplace errands funded by the Business Order charge, not by requester escrow.
  • You may only use the pickup and dropoff addresses provided to complete the delivery.
  • You may not retain, misuse, screenshot, or share customer delivery addresses after the delivery is completed.
  • Customer delivery addresses may be hidden from your view after completion for privacy and safety.
  • Business delivery payout is subject to the same completion approval, evidence, and dispute procedures as other errands.
  • Business delivery payout may be delayed by Stripe settlement, platform balance availability, or your Stripe Express account status.
  • If a Business Order is cancelled or refunded after you have accepted the delivery, the errand may be moved to admin review to resolve payout or compensation.

RunXIt is not responsible for the acts or omissions of the business or the customer during a business delivery. You are an independent contractor at all times while performing business delivery jobs.

14. Preferred Runner First Chance

You may be designated as a Preferred Runner by a Business+ or Founding Local Partner business based on prior completed work. The following terms apply if you receive Preferred Runner First Chance offers:

  • Preferred Runner status is not employment, scheduling, a guarantee of work, or exclusivity.
  • You remain free to accept or decline any offer at any time, including Preferred Runner First Chance offers.
  • Preferred Runner First Chance gives you a temporary first-look opportunity to accept eligible business delivery jobs before they are offered to the wider runner network.
  • RunXIt controls marketplace offer distribution — businesses cannot manually assign, reserve, or dispatch jobs to you.
  • If you decline or do not accept within the first-chance window, the job may become available to other eligible runners.
  • You must continue following all privacy rules for business and customer information, including not retaining or misusing addresses, access codes, or contact details after job completion.
  • Preferred Runner status may be removed at any time based on platform policy, business preference, account standing, or safety considerations.

15. Changes to This Agreement

RunXIt may update this Runner Agreement from time to time. When material changes are made, the version number will be incremented (currently v2.0) and runners will be required to accept the updated agreement before accepting new errands.
